As if the magic he weaves with his videos isn't enough, Axel’s knack for encouraging peculiar but compelling contrast shines through when he managed to get a tarantula to feature in the “Clementine” video just because he thought it would make a nice prop. Turns out, the tarantula (with no prior showbiz experience!) did indeed add an unexpected touch to the poignant narrative. Nobody saw that coming, and maybe that’s precisely what Axel wanted.
